Periodontal Treatment

Periodontitis, also generally called gum disease or periodontal disease, begins with bacterial growth in your mouth and may end — if not properly treated — with tooth loss due to destruction of the tissue that surrounds your teeth. A chronic infection that affects the gums and the bones that support the teeth. Bacteria and the body’s own immune system break down the bone and connective tissue that hold teeth in place.  Bone loss from this is generally not reversible, but with routine treatment you can keep the bone levels that you have and maintain a healthy mouth
